The drive from Moab, Utah to Lake Powell in Arizona is one of the most gorgeous in the United States. At only 4 and a half hours, it's easy to complete in one day, but I suggest stopping halfway and staying a night in Monument Valley. Moab has the most to do as far as hiking, biking, and places to hang out in town. I suggest staying 3 nights in Moab, 1 night at Monument Valley, and 3 nights at Lake Powell.
